Creative Ways to Refresh Your Car

Some of us spend a lot of time in our cars and it can be pretty unpleasant if you are smelling stinky sports gear , cigarette smoke or the food from the restaurant where you just ate.

Fortunately, there are many potential fixes for the problem — and some of them are inexpensive and chemical-free.

Dryer Sheets

Yes you heard that right. Open up a box of dryer sheets and store them under the seat. This can help and last up to 3 months. Easy Peasy!

Love Your Cup of Morning Joe?

Bring your favorite wake me up smell into your vehicle. Start by filling a sock — or two — with coffee beans or even ground coffee. Tie the sock closed, and put it under the driver’s seat. If you have a second sock, stick that under the passenger seat. All helps to banish nasty odors.

Essential Oils

If you have a favorite essential oil you can put a couple of drops or more on a cotton ball. Hang this from your rearview mirror with a pretty ribbon. You can keep adding drops as desired.
